What We Do
Harvest House supports foster children, strengthens foster families, and connects our island community to our foster community in meaningful ways.
For Foster Children
We make sure children in foster care feel valued, from their first day in crisis through their reunification or adoption journey.
Emergency Care and Supplies
Harvest House often serves as a first stop for many children entering foster care. A warm shower and meal, clothes, shoes, basic hygiene essentials, car seats and more are provided immediately through our Resource Center.
Events
Annual gatherings like our Back-to-School Bash and Christmas Party help these children know they are not forgotten by their community.

Visitation Site
We provide a safe, inviting, and supervised space where children can play and spend time with parents and siblings on our covered playground or in our Family Room.
Birthday Celebrations
Children are celebrated with a birthday gift and cake, made extra special through the “Bake Their Day” nonprofit volunteers who provide custom birthday cakes.
For Foster Families
We walk alongside licensed and relative foster families so they feel supported and equipped to care for the children in their homes.
Recruit, Train, Retain
We recruit new foster families through awareness and informational meetings, train them using our connections and resources, and retain them with ongoing support.
Informational Meetings
Regular sessions with our founder for families exploring fostering, respite care, or just wanting to know more.

Support Groups, Trainings, and Bible Studies
Spiritual encouragement and community for foster parents, offering a unique chance to discuss relevant topics in a trusted environment.
Babysitting
Trusted care so foster parents can rest and recharge.
